Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visits UAE for a 2 day visit

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will began his two-day visit to the UAE on Sunday. This was the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 34 years. Indira Gandhi came to the UAE in 1981.

He participated in discussions with the top leadership of the country, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in Abu Dhabi.

Whilst promoting India as an attractive investment destination his visited Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, a workers’ accommodation in Musaffah and Masdar City, a zero-carbon city which relies on solar and other renewable sources of energy. He also addressed a massive gathering of over 40,000 Indian community members at Dubai Cricket Stadium.

According to experts, this visit is significant and will give India an opportunity to enhance cooperation and seek investments in the vital sectors of the economy.
